Roofing Resources For Twin Cities Homeowners
★★★★★ Rated five stars by Twin Cities homeowners, Google
Everything on this page is written to be useful before you call us.
Three places to look, and not one of them asks you for anything first: our work, our reasoning, and more than fifty roofing questions answered plainly. When you would rather have a person on the roof instead, that is one call, and the call is free.
- Roofing since 1996. Sixty years between our leaders. Licensed MN BC630708
- Every gallery photo is our crews, on real Twin Cities homes. No stock, no borrowed trucks
- Nothing here is gated. No email wall, no download form, no unlock-the-rest
Locally owned. Home base is St. Anthony and Northeast Minneapolis.

Reading is faster for some questions and slower for others. Tell us what you are looking at and we will tell you what it is, plainly, before anyone talks about price.
Takes you to the form at the bottom of this page.
Three Doors, And None Of Them Ask For Your Email
Pick the one that matches what you are trying to find out. All three are free to read, all three are ours, and all three were written by the people who do the work rather than by an agency that has never been on a roof in February.

See The Work
The project gallery. Real crews on real homes, nearly all of them Twin Cities, and the caption names the city each photo was shot in. It starts recent on purpose: for thirty years the work was passed along by neighbors instead of uploaded, so what you are looking at is what we have documented since we started saying so out loud. Roofs, siding, a red slate estate in North Oaks, a full siding change in Lakeville, and the roofs we replaced after the June 19 hail.

Read The Reasoning
The journal. Storm reports, how-to guides, and the reasoning behind the calls we make, including the calls that cost us the job. When hail came through on the evening of June 19, 2026, we did not knock on a single door. We went out afterward, surveyed twenty-two roofs across the swath ourselves, and published what we found street by street.

Get The Answer
More than fifty roofing, siding, storm and insurance questions, answered in eight topic groups with a search box on top. What drives the cost of a roof here. What ice and water barrier is and where code wants it. Who pulls the permit and what the inspector actually looks at. What we will and will not do on an insurance claim. Type your question and the page filters down to it.
Start With The Question You Actually Have
Page labels are our words. Questions are yours. Find the line closest to what you are actually wondering and it will tell you where the answer lives.
- "Is this company real, and have they worked on a house like mine?" Start in the project gallery. It is our crews on real homes, and the caption names the city each one was shot in.
- "How much does a roof replacement cost in Minneapolis?" Answered in the roof replacement group on the questions page. The short version: squares, pitch, how many layers come off, and what the decking looks like once the old roof is gone. That is why two houses that look identical get quoted differently.
- "I think I have hail damage. What do I do first?" Read the June 19, 2026 hailstorm report. It has the storm path, what we found surveying twenty-two roofs across the swath ourselves, and the first steps in order.
- "How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?" The repair and leaks group on the questions page. Most of what gets sold as a replacement is a repair, and the page says so.
- "My ceiling is leaking right now. What do I do first?" Call 612-255-9605 first and read second. The questions page answers it too, but a ceiling filling with water is a phone call, not a reading assignment.
- "A contractor offered to cover my deductible. Is that okay?" No. Under Minnesota law a residential roofer may not advertise or promise to pay any part of your insurance deductible, directly or indirectly. Anyone who offers is telling you something about how they work. The full answer is in the storm and insurance group on the questions page.
- "Will you represent me to my insurance company?" No, and Minnesota law is the reason: representing you, adjusting your claim and negotiating it are licensed public adjuster work, and we are not licensed for it. What we do instead is write our own itemized estimate for the job. When your carrier's loss statement misses something the roof actually needs, we photograph it, price it, and send our revised estimate to them with you copied. If they will not pay it, we stop and hand you to a licensed public adjuster.
- "What if my insurance company will not pay for everything the roof needs?" Common, and it is usually a scope problem rather than a coverage one. Once your carrier has decided to replace, we go through their loss statement against what is actually up there. Anything missing gets photographed, priced and sent to them as our revised estimate, with you copied on all of it. We do not argue coverage and we do not negotiate, because we are not allowed to. If they say no and you want it pushed, you get every photograph and measurement we have and a referral to a licensed public adjuster.
- "You say you are not a new company. So where have you been?" That one has its own piece in the journal. Short version: thirty years of work that got passed along by neighbors instead of advertised. We are not a new company, we are just starting to say so out loud.
- "What actually happens on a free visit?" We look at the whole exterior, we photograph the roof and every elevation we can safely reach, and you get a written Complimentary Exterior Assessment telling you what is there. If the roof has five good years left, that is what the assessment says. Ask for one below.
Read All Of It. Then Call Us Anyway.
The reading is here so you can decide. The visit is here so you can be sure. One of them ends with somebody on your roof telling you what is actually up there, and it costs nothing to find out.
What We Will Not Do With Any Of This
Most contractor resource pages are a lead trap with an article wrapped around it. Here is what this one does not do, so you can hold us to it.
We will not put a form in front of an answer.
Nothing on the gallery, the journal or the questions page is gated. No email required, no download wall, no "enter your address to unlock the rest." The one form on this page is at the bottom and it is there because you asked for a person.
We will not sell you on the phone.
Call us and the first thing that happens is questions about your roof, not questions about your budget. We cannot quote a roof we have not stood on, so nobody on this end is trying to close you before we have seen it.
We will not write ourselves into every answer.
Several answers on the questions page end with a recommendation that is not us: wait a few years, call a specialist, hire whoever is closest for a small repair. We left those in because they are true, and because the ones that cost us something are the ones worth reading.
We will not represent you to your insurance company.
Here is where our lane starts and stops. We write our own itemized estimate for the work, and when your carrier's loss statement misses something the roof needs, we photograph it, price it, and send our revised estimate to them with you copied. That is a contractor pricing a contractor's work. What we will not do is represent you, adjust your claim or negotiate it on your behalf. Minnesota law reserves that to licensed public adjusters and we are not one. If your carrier denies something, we stop, hand you every photograph and measurement we hold, and refer you to a licensed public adjuster whose actual job that is.
We would rather you learn it here than be sold it on your porch. When you want a person up there telling you what is actually on your roof, ask us. That part is free too, and it takes one form.

Ask Us The Question The Page Did Not Answer
Tell us what you are looking at. A stain that showed up after the last storm, a bid you do not understand, granules in the gutter, a roof you have owned for nineteen years and have never been told the truth about. We will come look, photograph what we can safely reach, and put what is there in writing. If it has five good years left, that is what the assessment will say and we will have talked ourselves out of the job. That is the arrangement.
Done the right way. Right away.
We answer the phone at 612-255-9605 during the day and we call back the same day when we miss you.
